Moon Over Africa is a captivating syndicated 15-minute serial that follows the adventures of Professor Anton Edwards as he embarks on a quest to find Atlantis in the depths of Africa. Accompanying him on this unusual journey are his daughter, fiancée, and a preserved human head, making for a truly unique adventure.

I'm not sure this is from South Africa

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) began in 1936 by an act of the British Parliament. Radio broadcasting in South Africa began in 1923. There were 3 radio channels under SABC, English, Afrikaans, and a commercial station, Springbok, which would have been the station to produce this type of entertainment, didn't start until 1950. The program itself is fairly entertaining, but can be kind of annoying - at least the first episode, "Talking Head".

Nice old time radio program. I heard one episode on TuneIn radio and looked it up on LibriVox and like what I have heard so far! and ready for Moon over Africa 02.

Is this not the same production company as the Tarzan serials?

I agree. I have always questioned the proposition that these were from South Africa. I have a different hypothesis, and I would be curious to see who else hears what I am hearing. Do these episodes not sound very much like the same actors and production company as the Tarzan serials, such as The Diamond of Asher and The Fires of Tohr? Professor Anton Edwards to me sounds so definitely to be Cy Kendall, i.e. the fellow who played Atan Thome, and the sound effects sound exactly like the ones used in the Tarzan serials. Even the narrator sounds like the same voice. Is there any other information that would link them? Am I the only one hearing this? I would love to know more about this programme. cf.
