Reviews

Unexpectedly Dramatic and Comedic

(5 stars)

Didn't expect the playfully sarcastic narration or riposte and repartee among the well-crafted characters. The work plays on the classic courtship novel of the 18th century and the Gothic genre. Overall an amusing and satisfying tale (a surprising change from what I'd known about Godwin, e.g. from _Caleb Williams_). It is vividly brought to life by the readers--thank you!
