The Ghost Train
Arnold Ridley's 1920s thriller, adapted by Shaun McKenna, tells the story of the last steam train from London to Cornwall, which carries a disparate group of travellers. The last thing any of them needs is to be stranded on a deserted railway station that is the object of a terrible local superstition.
This gripping tale features music composed by Andy Price and is directed by Marion Nancarrow. The cast includes Christopher Wright, Tracy Ann Oberman, Adam Godley, David Brooks, Alison Pettitt, Emily Joyce, Ann Beach, John Turner, Hugh Dickson, Gerard McDermott, and Brian Parr.
With a long-running success in London and on Broadway, this play is packed with thrills, chills, and laughter. In a remote Cornish station, a legend of a phantom locomotive sweeps through the village, leaving death in its wake. Smugglers exploit the villagers' superstition, but a seemingly incompetent detective unravels the mystery, leading to the apprehension of the evildoers and restoring peace to the village.
