The actress who played the brand’s character in personal appearances and events presents the commercials on the program. The hosts in the series at this time were Johnny Olson and his wife, Penny. She was co-host and associate producer, responsible for developing stunts, selecting participants, and obtaining prizes for the show, She was known on the program as "Million Dollar Penny". Johnny Olsen would become best known as a game show announcer for many 1960s and 1970s television programs. He was the announcer for the original To Tell the Truth and What's My Line? , and spent over a decade as the announcer for both Match Game and The Price Is Right . For the latter he was famous for calling a contestant to the front of the stage with “C’mon down!” * * * These recordings are part of the Joe Hehn Memorial Collection. Mr. Hehn (1931-2020) was a pioneering collector of radio recordings when the hobby emerged in the 1960s. Digitizing his collection of reel tapes and discs is the effort of a wide range of North American volunteers, and includes assistance of some international collectors. The groups supporting this effort with their funds, time, technology and skills are the Old Time Radio Researchers and a small group of transcription disc preservationists who refer to themselves as the "The Knights of the Turning Table."
