The Comical History of Don Quixote, Part 1

Read by LibriVox Volunteers

This is the first of a three-play sequence which was perhaps the first dramatization of Cervantes's novel Don Quixote. Written in English by the Playwright and Lyricist Thomas D'Urfey, it was originally performed with music by Henry Purcell. (only the lyrics, by D'Urfey, are presented in this recording.)
