Maxwell House Good News
Robert Young and Mary Martin
by
Maxwell House Good News is a musical variety program built around comedy and popular entertainment. The series is associated with performers Robert Young and Mary Martin, whose presence brings a blend of light humor and musical performance to the show.
Rather than following a single continuing story, the program offers a variety-show experience, combining comic material with songs and other entertainment. Its appeal lies in the contrast between spoken comedy and music, presented in the polished style of a sponsored radio program.
Listeners can expect an easygoing mix of humor and musical interludes, with Young and Martin at the center. The result is a snapshot of radio variety entertainment, suited to listeners who enjoy classic comedy and song in the same program.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
