CBS Radio Workshop
The King of the Cats
CBS Radio Workshop was an anthology program that brought dramatic adaptations and original radio productions to the air. Each broadcast offered a self-contained listening experience, using actors, dialogue, music, and sound effects to create a story or explore an idea through the distinctive resources of radio.
The program ranged across literary and dramatic material, presenting stories in a crafted, theatrical style rather than following a continuing cast of characters. Its productions could move between intimate scenes and imaginative settings, with narration and sound helping listeners picture the action as it unfolded.
“The King of the Cats” is identified as the featured work in this recording. The series’ anthology format makes it a good choice for listeners who enjoy classic radio drama, carefully staged performances, and stories told through voice and sound.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
