Excellent story

(5 stars)

Calhoun is just on one of his routine medical checkup trips to the planet Weald when he learns about the quarantine around planet Dara. Odd, because there is nothing in the medical database talking about that. He decides to investigate, and while heading to Dara, he discovers a stowaway on his ship: A Daran in disguise... This is such a cool story, I enjoyed it very much. Mark Smith an excellent reader; he brings life to the book. Enjoy!

Sci-fi that 'reads' still as modern lit!

What a hilarious audiobook, the reader does a fantastic job! The writer does a good job of writing a science fiction novel that still works today as an amusing tale. The characters are interesting and the plot doesn't lean on drama to carry it, but fleshed out the tale well. In honesty I'd gladly read a dozen of novels of the adventures these two characters might get into!

Good story.

was a good listen it reminded me of a quote I on occasion. The plague planet with all the starving people due to famine. The author tried to give you a description of the hunger the people are suffering from and how they have become angry and bitter. I can sum it up one short phrase. "You are only six meals away from anarchy."

Really great!

I've been listening to a lot of serious & unhappy books lately, so this one was a nice change. Highly recommend both the book and Mark Smith, the reader (no man does a woman's voice as well as he does, along with the little critter's "chee, chee".)

classic Leinster, excellent reader

(4.5 stars)

A classic Leinster story, a dated type of SF that will make modern readers smile with its naiveté and take them back fondly to the times of Heinlein and Asimov. But what an excellent rendering by the reader, Mark F Smith!!

Murray and Mark. Great Combination

(4.5 stars)

I lone Murray's Medship Stories. They show human nature so well. I especially like the way he solves the problems that arise. Mark enhances the story so well. Peter T.

Well read. Good plot and fun story with intriguing twists with strong character builds and dialogue. Good ending. Note this is the same story as Pariah World read elsewhere . Thanks!

good sci-fi, great reader

Like an old time Star Trek episode with warring planets, but all’s well that ends well and the hero with his faithful companion ride off to another adventure.
