Reviews

A charming, homely tale with wit

It seemed much shorter than the previous work by the author, and with less devious characters and drama. A nice comforting story and very well read

cute story, Great reader!!!

I enjoyed this a lot. Reminded me of my career efforts trying to break into the competitive backstabbing business of commercial art in nyc. In any area of work, human nature hasn't learned from previous generations. A light-hearted meaningful story with a touch of humor just as up to date for today. Touches on a mother's attachment to her son that she raised by herself. Highly recommended. Unfortunately a whites only world, but did have one person of color, a foreigner, thus truly realistic, sadly.

This is quite different from the first book in the series. It's not quite as robust but it ends strongly. The reading is, of course, excellent.

excellent .

PERSONALITY PLUS

(3 stars)

PERSONALITY PLUS ITSELF ISN'T QUITE THE EQUAL OF FERBER'S FIRST OF THE TRILOGY, ROAST BEEF MEDIUM. BEYOND THAT, THE READER DOES HIS BEST AND ONCE I GOT USED TO HIS STYLE, THINGS GOT EASIER. THERE SEEMED TO ME A FEW MISPRONUNCIATIONS, THOUGH ONLY "MAGNETO" REALLY ANNOYS. OVERALL, I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE AUDIO VERSION OF A RARE BOOK.
