Songs + Judy still strike the right note!

Grand imitation of movie version. Not a big name supporting cast, but at least we get Hans Conried and Herb Vigron. Other than Judy, the actor playing the Lion does very well. Unlike the movie, the co-stars don’t do their own singing. Judy does Over the Rainbow in a slightly different way.

Judy Garland recreates her screen role of Dorothy along with a fine cast. This Lux Radio Broadcast is well worth a listen. The songs are here, the jokes are here, as is the charm and sweetness of the original motion picture.
