Adventures by Morse 52 Eps (2 Promos & 52 Eps)
Adventures by Morse features the thrilling tales of a globe-trotting San Francisco-based private investigator, Captain Bart Friday, portrayed by Elliott Lewis, David Ellis, and Russell Thorson at different times throughout the series. His sidekick, Skip Turner, hailing from Texas, was primarily played by Jack Edwards and occasionally by Barton Yarborough.
The series delves into various intriguing themes such as espionage, kidnapping, and murder, exploring secret Nazi bases, snake worshipers, and voodoo. The collection includes 52 episodes and 2 promotional recordings, produced in the mid-1940s, although the exact dates of production and the earliest broadcasts remain uncertain.
While some sources suggest the entire series aired in 1944, later episodes indicate that the Second World War had ended. Advertisements for broadcasts have been found from 1946 and 1949. The series was structured in 13-episode blocks, each containing two stories, with teasers for upcoming tales. Notably, 'The City of the Dead' and 'A Coffin for the Lady' are highlighted in the promos as the first and second stories, respectively.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.

Re-audiobooking a classic. Love main character. Some gore, walking dead, etc., but usually enjoyablly scary. Well performed different by cast members. Annoying siren sound each chapter but otherwise a fun listen and some very clever murders. Highly Recommended.

Written by the same man responsible for I Love an Adventure and I love a Mystery, these are more in the same line of great suspense stories. This selection is better than what Archive.org has for the other two titles because these are complete and in order. Excellent stuff, and well worth being spellbound by.
