Bob Hope (Leslie Townes Hope) was born on May 29, 1903, in Eltham, London, England. He emigrated to America with his family in 1908, becoming a US citizen at the age of 17. Known for his quick wit and comedic talent, Bob began his career in the 1920s, making Broadway appearances and starring in numerous films throughout the 1930s to the 1950s.
In addition to his film career, Bob Hope was a dedicated performer for the USO, entertaining troops during World War II, the Korean War, and the Persian Gulf War. His legacy of humor and entertainment continues to be cherished by audiences around the world.
