"Meet the Meeks" was an 11 am, Saturday Morning, OTR sitcom, originating from WMAQ Radio, Chicago. This family sitcom was a follow-up to the 1940-1942 program "Meet Mr. Meek." It aired during a time when families would gather together, using their imaginations to visualize the stories unfolding on the radio.

The antics of Mortimer Meek, his wife Agatha, daughter Peggy, and Uncle Louie are sure to bring a smile to your face. It truly was a time when families could enjoy the humor and warmth of radio together.

Let's be honest--it doesn't take a lot of effort to imagine and envision 99% of all OTRR scripts, particularly domestic comedies like this. . I hoped you've lived long enough to see the podcast era. It will never be as popular as radio was, of course--too much competition from other types of media--but it proves that the kids these days can still follow a fictional story told solely by sound.
