Dangerously Yours - Single Episodes
Dangerously Yours was a half-hour show sponsored by Vicks. There were sixteen episodes broadcast in 1944, with eleven of them available to collectors today. Each episode seemed to star Victor Jory as the leading man, focusing heavily on romance, with much airtime devoted to lovers murmuring sweet nothings at each other, while the action and adventure took a backseat.
At the end of each episode, the announcer would provide a brief teaser for the following week's show. Toward the end of 1944, the series changed its title and became known as Vicks Matinee Theater. A further twenty-five episodes were broadcast, with some being repeats of earlier episodes. Of these twenty-five, twenty-two are known to be in existence.

awful quality
Test Test
episode 2 and 3 are duplicates. episode 4 "pirate of oreleans" is completely unlistenable. the record skipped while recording the final 1/3. unsatisfactory ending because you can't understand anything. I live the OTRR, but, did not a single person quality control check this before uploading?! just listen to the end of pirate of Orleans and you'll agree this needs to be taken down and reuploaded without it.
it had it's place in history

interesting listen. a bit too much "romance" and feels awkward in these modern enlightened times, for me anyway.
