This book started off well, I loved the first book. It made me laugh out loud at times. But I felt toward the end the story became laboured, like the author got board. He goes to such lengths building up and developing the characters of Tommy & Grizel, just to almost give up on them at the end. Also some key characters were all but forgotten, some never heard of again. I think this book is longer than it needs to be and the ending is disappointing because it feels as if no thought has gone into it. It didn't help that some of the readers could not get to grips with the Scottish dialect making it a difficult listen at times. That said I am grateful that they tried and made this book available for us to hear. I think if you've read the first book then it's good to know what became of Tommy. 3 quarters of the book is very good. I just think it feels a bit unedited and rushed at the end which is a shame.
