A swan suffers a mysterious death, its neck wrung by apparent supernatural forces. A young woman dies alone in a hospital room, apparently strangled by mysterious means. Sir Michael Ferrara is found strangled in his bedroom with no one else there. Dr. Bruce Cairn and his son Robert are faced with a mystery that involves deeper, darker, more ancient forces than they could have imagined. Who is Sir Michael's adopted son Antony really? And who is the brood of the Witch Queen? - Summary by Don W. Jenkins (7 hr 6 min)

ABRUPT ENDING

AVID READER
This terse ending robbed the reader of pleasure while watching AF's demise. Reading the novels of Rohmer always begs the question - was he a prodigiously great imaginative or was he mentally unhinged. This work seems to vote for the latter. Nevertheless, it is an interesting read.

THE QUEST OF THE SACRED SLIPPEF
Can’t take it anymore, the reader is so irritating, and his Scottish brogue makes you sick. He reads like he is in the Indi 500. I have tried 4 different times as I love the author but enough is enough.
pretty good.

Sandyjeans
Not the best by this author, but interesting. The many voices attempted by the reader was very distracting. he should just stick to his normal voice.

ManyRoads
This is a meandering strangely peculiar tale of Egyptian evil. The highlights of this are the narrators quirky style and his kitty.
Fairly good tale

Sherie Black
Story is a little choppy. Reader did a good job. He seemed to have fun voicing different characters.
great reading, clever old story

darthlaurel
Excellent gradual revealing of the mystery. Great reading, as usual.
Another 'forgotten' Masterpiece of the Macabre!

Lennyboy B
Well read; but oh,... some of those accents!!!

Brett Miller
abrupt ending and just how did the Dr know the Barronetts family secret?
