A Christmas Carol (Version 09)
Charles Dickens
Gelesen von Greg Giordano

"A Christmas Carol" has been credited with relaunching the celebration of Christmas as we know it. It relaunched Charles Dickens' literary career, that is for sure! More than that, and more importantly, it is an illustration of one "covetous old sinner" and his opportunity for redemption in the eyes of both God and man. For me the book holds a special meaning for it repeatedly shows me that no matter how I often I may make mistakes, mercy and forgiveness are there for the asking. - Summary by Greg Giordano (3 hr 25 min)

Very pleasant listening

I actually preferred this reader for his mellow style, easier for me to follow, instead of mentally running to keep up with a nonstop spate of words as I must do with a fast reader. I could just relax into my natural pace, and have space to imagine the scene, as I would if reading the book to myself in print.
Very slow

I couldn't continue listening to this, the reader is so slow and sounds like he's just reading a line at a time rather than a sentence.
