Harry Collingwood
Lu par LibriVox Volunteers

Eric Blackburn's strange adventures begin when the ship on which he is engaged as fourth officer is struck by an enormous meteorite and sinks within minutes, and Blackburn is the sole survivor out of the 535 people on board that ship. Through extraordinary luck he reaches an overturned lifeboat into which he saves himself, and from which he is rescued by the Yorkshire Lass. The Yorkshire Lass, however, brings with it a new adventure, as it is on a quest for hidden treasure on a mysterious tropical island and is going to catapult Eric into unprecedented adventures. - Summary by Carolin (7 hr 36 min)

Critiques
Bravo from Borneo

Lord Jim
This is my third book of Harry Collingwood and I was certainly not disappointed. The various narrators also made a reasonably good effort. I appreciated the author's descriptive prowess and ability to create a delightful seafaring tale replete with many adventures, trials and tribulations, and the ingenuity of our hero to overcome each situation encountered. Now on to my next Collingwood book.
a bit to descriptive in some parts but overall a good tale

Bud of Bradford island
A Great Adventure

A LibriVox Listener
Each of the readers did a great job in their turn. The novel itself is a good yarn and though at times slightly predictable, it is very enjoyable.
Poorly narrated.

Lloyd Boone
Some of the narrators are not at all pleasing to listen to...they totally spoil the work.

A LibriVox Listener
found the different narrators a little distracting. about 5 different voices but good yarn.

Susan Lewis
OK as a background listen but monotonous at times and a limp ending.
Entertaining.

Jackie
Liked it allot. Reminded me of Robinson.
Excellent

I wish it had been longer!
