This novel tells the fictional life story of Veera Davis. The daughter of a poet and a poor noble woman, who is left in the care of her grandmother to a lonely and monotonous childhood, she has to make her way up in the world. But everything has a price. She tries to follow the conventions of the society which shunned her when she was poor. The novel explores themes such as love, money and loss. Don't worry, there is also a good murder mystery. Summary by Stav Nisser. (14 hr 1 min)

conflicting?

You your righteous indignation reminds me of the GOP congress in its refusal to accept the villainy of Trump despite massive proof. Yes you provide a public service for which the world at large is grateful. But giving your time to this endeavor does not give you the right to silence well meaning criticism. This volunteer deserves kudos for his good intentions and hard work. But he should not be narrating. LibriVox can record every book that was ever written but if there is inadequate quality control nobody will listen and your work is wasted. It sounds like this gentleman fell asleep in one of his readings. When you provide a public service it does not give you the right to insult those who have an interest in seeing it succeed. I am providing you with a heads-up and I speak for many.
Interesring Story!

Well intentioned reviewer, your review is conflicting and I mean this next part with the best intentions; you sound like an ungreatful person who doesnt deserve the privilege to listen to these audio books.
good story but reader should consider advise for improvement

Vfkabt, you’re volunteerism is truly appreciated. However, your narration needs work. With all due respect it sounds to me as though you are reading chapters for the first time. The narration comes in fits and starts. Reading each chapter before you record would help you familiarize yourself with the content and make for a fluid reading. Also, all unfamiliar words and foreign phrases should automatically be checked for proper pronunciation. These suggestions apply to all readers who want to make listening a joyous experience.
