This is the second of three volumes of The Mabinogion, a collection of some of the earliest tales from the British Isles. Lady Charlotte Guest translated the stories in Volume 2 from a 14th-century Welsh manuscript, The Red Book of Hergest. can't really make out the readers voice

(3 stars)

as much as I do appreciate the librivox volunteers for recording these old texts, this reader is far too close to the microphone and I can barely make out a single thing

Putting aside the irritating cadence of the lacklustre narrator, he woefully mispronounces all the Welsh names/words rendering the reading very disappointing to listen to. Should be read by someone who at least has some understanding of wales/Welsh culture.

Reader probably should have practiced Welsh names

audio quality is poor, reader has a flat cadence, and stumbles over Welsh words. I appreciate that the reader tried though. A for effort, F for execution.

I've been looking for this, thank you so much. :)
