
Billy Jones & Ernie Hare
Billy Jones & Ernie Hare were vaudevillians who took advantage of the growing popularity of radio. The pair had become popular recording artists, known for their act as "The Happiness Boys." They were referred to as the "Taystee Loafers" when sponsored by Taystee Bread, and the "Interwoven Pair" when sponsored by Interwoven Socks.
Jones passed away in 1940, while Hare passed away in 1939. The recordings from their time with Tastee Bread are from around 1936. These recordings were transcribed to reel tape in the 1970s and have recently been digitized.
