Critiques

Top Notch Mysteries

(4.5 stars)

Very entertaining stories and well read. Many are "inverted mysteries"; the story begins with the commission of the crime. Thorndike and Jervis enter the narrative later. Thorndike is a forensic scientist when that practition was rare. Much of the fun is watching him extract evidence from unrelated clues.

Great performance!

(5 stars)

Great performance by reader! He brings the short stories alive with different voices, accents and cadence. I want to hear more from him!

Early forensics, good mysteries.

(4 stars)

An interesting mix of stories. Dr. Thorndyke is one of the earliest scientific detectives. Well written and very well read.

Great detective stories!

(5 stars)

The way that the stories are presented, with the story of the crime being told first, is very unique and interesting!

(4 stars)

Love the reader's voices but he does sometimes read in a choppy way with pauses in the middle of a sentence.

(5 stars)

Terrific stories (a bit graphic at times so not for the young reader) that are very well-read.

Well Read

(5 stars)

A good set of Thorndyke stories.
