9/11 Tribute: Pete Lutz 9/16/01
Pete Lutz
Shortly after the tragedy of September 11, 2001, Pete Lutz, then a newly minted news director at a Corpus Christi, TX, radio station, took his tape recorder and microphone around the city to chronicle the memories of Americans. He specifically sought to capture what people were doing when they learned that the World Trade Center had been attacked.
Nearly a decade-and-a-half later, while some of the hurt is gone, the scars still linger. Here are the memories of nearly a hundred citizens of Corpus Christi, compressed into 15 minutes, but still speaking volumes.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
