(4.5 stars; 4 reviews)

As part of BBC Radio's celebration of the playwright's 70th birthday, Andrew Lincoln and Danny Webb star in Tom Stoppard's adaptation of his celebrated play, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Acclaimed as a modern dramatic masterpiece, it presents the fabulously inventive tale of Hamlet from the perspective of the bewildered Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two minor characters in Shakespeare's play.

The production features music by Nicolai Abrahamsen and is directed by Peter Kavanagh. The cast includes Desmond Barrit as The Player, John Rowe as Polonius, Abigail Hollick as Ophelia, Liza Sadovy as Gertrude, Simon Treves as Claudius, John Dougall as Hamlet, Joe Davies as Ambassador, and Anthony Glennon as Horatio.
