In this sequel to "Thomas Wingfold, Curate" we follow an athiest who prides himself on being better than the Christians he knows and a weary woman trying to replace God's love with human love. But each are hiding secrets in their past. Meanwhile the unconventional curate and his friend Polwarth, the dwarf, continue ministering to anyone they can - regardless of their faith. - Summary by HannahMary

Truth loved

Lee-Anne Todd
as with all George McDonald stories both adult and children's and for all the genres he writes in, he continues to encourage us to thought and belief in our loving Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ our saviour Who is The True way to life and relationship both here and the hereafter. some readers are not easy to listen to.

Ms. Andrea
A neat story but includes lots of introspection that is quite boring. I listened to the finish because I wanted to hear the end... but there are lots of parts that I tuned out.

James Baker
Excellent book; good reading. The American Southern accents used by some readers in place of a refined English accent was somewhat off-putting at times. Having said that, I do appreciate and admire the volunteers!
excellent

Yet another wonderful book from MacDonald. Its profundity seems balanced by the selfishness of the two central characters, examples of a person's struggle with goodness/morality and true knowing of Who God is.

Great story, some of the narrators were difficult to understand.
