Longing Lasts Longer By Penny Arcade

Longing Lasts Longer by Penny Arcade is a kick-ass comedy with guts, serving as a refutation of nostalgia and a critique of gentrification—not just of our cities, but of ideas as well. It stands up for authenticity and takes a kick against mediocrity, sparing no one, not even the seemingly banal cupcake!

Penny Arcade, an Andy Warhol Factory Superstar and contemporary of Patti Smith and Debbie Harry, along with her long-time collaborator Steve Zehentner, brought Longing Lasts Longer to the Peacock stage in the Abbey Theatre for Dublin Fringe 2016. In Penny's own words, it is "a vindication for people over 50 and a context provider for people under 50." She encourages us to remember that "thinking is sexy, people! Let's bring back thinking!" Sound design by Steve Zehentner and sound supervision by Ciarán Cullen, directed for radio by Gorretti Slavin.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penny_Arcade_(performer) She is petite and poised, held her own among a mixed group of wannabe hipsters and self-haters. Ybor is/was Tampa's Boho neighborhood. I thought she was okay, but no Lydia Lunch.
