A LibriVox Listener
I understand it's a classic and I read it because of that, but it's just awful. Nothing really interesting happens, the ethics (or lack of it) is disgusting, more than disturbing, and the narrative itself is just poor. The reader's cadence is like that of a child forced to read aloud in school, but their accent was pleasant to hear and painted a more interesting image in my head as I listened.
