Due to a clerical error, successful attorney Charles Gordon Curtiss arrives a day late to give a lecture in a nearby town. But the literary society's loss is Curtiss' gain; he meets the charming Constance Stuart and falls in love. A year later, they marry. The very next day, however, before Curtiss can bring Constance to her new home, Constance meets a young woman named Pauline. What Pauline tells her alters the lives of all of them for years to come. - Summary by TriciaG

Wonderful Story

Thank you, Tricia G, for bringing us another book by Pansy! This was a great story and even though I knew where it was going, I wasn't sure how everything would get sorted out. Normally I fall asleep rather quickly while listening, but this one kept me awake most nights. If you like Pansy stories, this is a good one.

Surprisingly Great Book

At the beginning I was a little worried and double-checked that this was actually a Pansy book. It felt so different from the others, but before the last chapter was over I had to take a praise break because it stirred up my affections for the Lord so deeply as Pansy's writing always does.

One of Pansy's best

The plot is unusual and the characters interesting. Well worth the listen.

What a beautiful story of a woman with a heart for Christ and others!

Loved it.
