The author, Mr. Reeve, would have loved an Erector Set. He was fully immersed in the new technology of his day and boy did he show it off in the story. It’s ok though, it was a good little story folded up in the language, society, and normalcy of the period. Well worth the time.

Interesting, fun detective story. A modern investigator who crafts advanced telephonic equipment helping to solve & arrest the guilty ones. Quite enjoyable!.
