Harper's Young People is an illustrated weekly publication for children that includes short stories, tales from history, natural history, poetry, puzzles, and other fun. This 36th issue of the serial was published on July 6th, 1880. In this issue, "The Moral Pirates" dry off -- again -- and try to learn from their mistakes in this sixth part of their story, readers will be transported in time and place in "Morning Sights and Sounds from a Window in Jerusalem", and in the conclusion of "Miss Van Winkle's Nap", young Julie's exhausting trek leads to a nap and a startling wake-up call. Other highlights of this issue include the story of a group of boys who learn how to construct bows and arrows and who start their own archery club in "The Mowhawk Bowmen"; detailed plans and descriptions for readers on "How to Build a Steam Yacht" (see illustrations in the Project Gutenberg ebook); and, Mother Goose presents Humpty Dumpty with three magical, wish-granting fireworks as a Fourth of July gift in "Humpty Dumpty and the Magic Firecrackers".
