The Black Cat (1895-1922) was a monthly literary magazine, publishing original short stories, often about uncanny or fantastical topics. Many writers were largely unknown, but some famous authors also wrote original material for this magazine.
This is the third issue of Volume 4 with the following stories:
> The Glen Echo Mystery, by Walter Wellman: the opening of an old box finally sheds light on a disturbing murder case.
> Bumblepuppy on the Range, by Edward Boltwood: an unusual plot to scare a man away who has apparently seen it all.
> The Transformation of Mrs Dwight's Son-in-Law, by Louise S. Todd: Mrs Dwight has to face an important change in her life.
> The Man from Alaska, by Louis Weslyn Jones: learn the story of this man with the unusually healthy appetite.
> Two Christmas Eves, by Wilson S. Henry: a story about the importance of telling your feelings to loved ones before it's too late.
