Critiques

Another wonderful book by BettyB

(5 stars)

These books are all absolutely fascinating (if you don't know the author, check for other books by same, and you will find a wealth of his travel writings), and BettyB is one of the best readers on Librivox, she really brings the texts life in her readings of them. The attitudes of the author may be anachronistic but the vivid descriptions of everyday life, and portraits of the people living it, as far as he observed them, are always utterly intriguing
