Other highlights of this issue include detailed instructions on how to build a naturally balanced habitat for ocean creatures in "A Salt-Water Aquarium"; the story of "Little Madge," the orphaned matchgirl whose curiosity and integrity change her destiny; a guide for constructing a simple weather-predicting tool in "Hygrometer, and How to Make Them"; and, how to build your own miniature version of "The Manes Life-Boat," suitable for the rescue of your pet bugs (illustrations are available in the Project Gutenberg ebook).
