Information Please is a radio quiz and conversation program built around questions from listeners. A panel of knowledgeable guests takes on queries that can range across literature, history, science, and everyday curiosities, while the show’s host keeps the discussion moving.
The pleasure comes from hearing the panel reason through a question in real time: confident answers, lively debate, and the occasional uncertainty all become part of the entertainment. The questions give the program its structure, but the guests’ personalities and exchanges make each discussion feel spontaneous rather than like a formal lecture.
With its blend of learning, wit, and conversational give-and-take, the program offers an engaging snapshot of radio’s popular intellectual entertainment. This recording features Thomas Craven, Ben Hecht, and Marcus Duffield among its named participants.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
