Bing Crosby

Dinah Shore and Joe Venuti

English · Radio, Music

Bing Crosby’s radio program centers on the relaxed, conversational style and warm singing voice that made him one of America’s best-known entertainers. The title identifies a broadcast featuring Dinah Shore and violinist Joe Venuti, bringing together performers from the worlds of popular song and jazz.

Listeners can expect a variety-show experience built around music and on-air personality rather than a single unfolding drama. Crosby’s easygoing presence provides the thread, while the named guests offer a chance to hear other distinctive performers alongside him.

The appeal lies in the intimate feel of radio entertainment: familiar songs, lively musical company, and Crosby’s unhurried charm. It offers a snapshot of mid-century popular entertainment shaped by performers whose voices and styles could make a broadcast feel both polished and companionable.
