Cocoanut Grove Ambassadors Young and Healthy

English · Music

This title identifies the Cocoanut Grove Ambassadors and the song “Young and Healthy.” The Ambassadors were a dance orchestra associated with the Cocoanut Grove, the famous Los Angeles nightclub, and their recordings offer a glimpse of the polished popular music heard in that setting.

“Young and Healthy” is a lively period song, presented here under the orchestra’s name. Its bright, buoyant character suits the dance-band style, with the ensemble’s performance at the center of the listening experience.

This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
