The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet
The Knitting Contest
by
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet is a domestic radio comedy centered on the Nelson family: Ozzie, his wife Harriet, and their sons David and Ricky. The program draws its humor from family life, with everyday plans and small misunderstandings becoming occasions for affectionate teasing.
Episodes typically unfold as self-contained stories in the Nelson household and its neighborhood. Ozzie often finds himself at the center of a scheme or predicament, while Harriet and the boys respond with their own opinions and comic timing. The family’s interactions give the show its familiar, conversational feel.
Warm and gently humorous, the series offers a portrait of family life shaped by banter rather than broad farce. Its appeal lies in the recognizable relationships and the easy rhythm of a family working through ordinary complications together.
