Hermit's Cave is a horror anthology presented by a mysterious host known as the Hermit. Each installment offers a self-contained tale of suspense or the supernatural, inviting listeners into a world of eerie encounters and unsettling secrets.
The program uses the familiar radio-play approach of narration, dialogue, and sound effects to bring its stories to life. “House of Purple Shadows” is the episode title, suggesting a shadowy setting for this entry in the series.
The listening experience is atmospheric and theatrical, with the Hermit's framing presence lending the stories a dark, fireside quality. It suits listeners who enjoy vintage radio horror and compact tales built around mystery, menace, and the uncanny.
