My Gal Sal

English · Radio, Anthologies, Dramatic Readings

Hollywood Star Time is a radio anthology built around the voices and screen personas of Hollywood performers. Each broadcast presents a self-contained dramatic or musical entertainment, with a featured star at its center.

The program draws on the variety of radio storytelling, bringing performers associated with the movies into an intimate audio setting. This recording is identified with the title “My Gal Sal,” offering a glimpse of the show’s blend of Hollywood presence and radio performance.

Its appeal lies in hearing familiar screen-era talent work through voice, dialogue, and music rather than image alone. The result is a polished snapshot of mid-century entertainment, shaped by the featured performer and the atmosphere of a Hollywood-centered radio program.

This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
