Broadway Is My Beat
The Dion Hartley Murder Case
par
Broadway Is My Beat is a hard-boiled radio crime drama set amid the theaters, nightclubs, and crowded streets of New York’s Broadway. Detective Danny Clover investigates murders and other crimes in a world of performers, hustlers, and people drawn to the bright lights, where ambition and desperation often meet.
The series unfolds as a dramatic mystery, following Clover as he questions suspects, pieces together clues, and works toward a solution. Its stories bring listeners into the varied lives behind Broadway’s public glamour, with the city itself providing a vivid backdrop to each investigation.
Moody narration, atmospheric sound, and a tough, streetwise style give the program its distinctive noir character. The result is an absorbing blend of police investigation and urban drama, centered on a detective navigating the shadows beneath the theater district’s glittering surface.
