Hogs in the Trough

English · Music, Radio

Pat O'Daniel and the Hillbilly Boys is a radio program centered on country music and hillbilly entertainment. The title points to a musical performance by Pat O'Daniel and his group, with “Hogs in the Trough” identified as the episode or segment title.

Listeners can expect a period radio presentation built around the band and its music. The program offers a glimpse of the country sounds and entertainment associated with hillbilly radio, where a named ensemble provides the focus.

Its appeal lies in hearing a specific musical act in its original radio context: a compact, archival encounter with Pat O'Daniel and the Hillbilly Boys rather than a modern studio recording.

This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
