Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians
Pickle, Can, Preserve
von
Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians brings together the celebrated bandleader and his vocal group for a musical radio program. The listening experience centers on Waring’s ensemble, whose polished choral sound and popular arrangements give the show its distinctive character.
Music is the heart of the program, with the Pennsylvanians performing as a coordinated group under Waring’s direction. The title “Pickle, Can, Preserve” accompanies this recording, offering a glimpse of the program’s period-specific presentation without changing its focus on ensemble music.
Warm and carefully arranged, the show suits listeners who enjoy vintage vocal harmony and the sound of a large musical group on radio. Waring’s blend of band and chorus makes the program an inviting example of mid-century American popular entertainment.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
