Big Town is a newspaper drama centered on the people and investigations of the Illustrated Press, a fictional New York newspaper. Editor Steve Wilson and reporter Lorelei Kilbourne pursue stories that bring them into contact with crime, corruption, and the human consequences behind the headlines.
The program blends newsroom drama with mystery and social issues, following reporters as they gather information, question sources, and work to uncover the truth. Its newspaper setting gives the stories a brisk, investigative feel, while the cases often turn on the choices and circumstances of ordinary people.
With its mix of suspense, journalism, and moral conflict, Big Town offers the atmosphere of a busy city newsroom and the drama of a story being chased toward its conclusion.
