This Is the Story

Bismarck and Beatrice Lillie

English · Radio

This Is the Story presents a subject through spoken narration, offering a concise account shaped around the people or events named in each installment. The title pairs Bismarck, the Prussian statesman who helped unify Germany, with Beatrice Lillie, the celebrated British comic performer, suggesting a program that ranges across historical and cultural subjects.

Its appeal lies in the contrast between these very different figures and the opportunity to hear a radio program frame notable lives and topics for listeners. The presentation is straightforward and centered on the story itself, making it suited to listeners interested in brief biographical or historical radio features.
