Mercury Summer Theater
The Golden Honeymoon
von
Mercury Summer Theatre brings the dramatic style of Orson Welles and the Mercury Theatre to a summer radio series. The program presents adaptations of literary works and other stories, with Welles often serving as host and performer.
Each broadcast is a self-contained radio drama, using actors, dialogue, music, and sound effects to bring its story to life. The series offers a varied selection of material, moving between different settings and moods rather than following one continuing plot.
Its appeal lies in the theatrical performances and carefully shaped sound: a compact, imaginative way to experience classic storytelling through radio drama.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
