That Hammer Guy

The Barney Miller Syndicate

English

That Hammer Guy is a radio detective series centered on Mike Hammer, the hard-boiled private investigator created by Mickey Spillane. Hammer works the dangerous streets of New York, taking on cases that lead him into a world of crime, deception, and sudden violence.

The program brings the private-eye story to life through dialogue, sound effects, and a dramatic cast, following Hammer as he questions suspects, pursues leads, and confronts the people behind each case. Its title identifies this installment as “The Barney Miller Syndicate.”

The series offers a tough, suspenseful take on crime fiction, with the clipped exchanges and shadowy atmosphere associated with hard-boiled detective stories. Listeners can expect a direct, action-minded mystery built around Hammer’s investigations and the risks that come with them.
