Box 13

The First Letter

English · Radio

Box 13 follows Dan Holiday, a former newspaper reporter who places an unusual advertisement offering to take on assignments. The responses arrive through a post office box, sending Holiday into a variety of mysteries and adventures as he investigates each new request.

Alan Ladd stars as Holiday, bringing a cool, resourceful presence to the role. The series blends detective work with suspense and action, as Holiday follows clues, questions people involved, and finds himself drawn into situations that can turn dangerous.

Each story begins with a letter and unfolds as a self-contained radio adventure, carried by dialogue, sound effects, and a brisk dramatic pace. The result is a lively mix of mystery and crime storytelling, with Holiday’s independent streak at the center.
