Story Lady Humor Not for Children
The Legend of Paul Bunyan
by
A humorous telling of the legend of Paul Bunyan, the giant lumberjack of American folklore. The story draws on the larger-than-life world associated with Bunyan and his enormous blue ox, Babe, where feats of strength and outsized claims turn frontier life into comic legend.
Presented as a Story Lady selection, this is a spoken storytelling performance rather than a conventional radio drama. Its title signals humor intended for an older audience, bringing a playful edge to a familiar folk hero and his tall-tale tradition.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
