Behind the Mike

Premiere Show

English · Radio

Behind the Mike is a radio program centered on the world of broadcasting and the people who bring radio to listeners. Its premiere show offers an introduction to the program’s subject: radio itself, from the voices heard on the air to the work and personalities behind them.

The title suggests a look behind the microphone, inviting listeners to consider how radio programs are made and presented. As an OTR broadcast, it is best approached as a period radio program rather than a single-narrator reading, with the sound and performance of the broadcast carrying the experience.

For listeners curious about radio history and the culture of broadcasting, the premiere provides a direct encounter with a program devoted to the medium and its on-air world.

This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
