A good part of this story is actually written from the View of the horse, any horse lover will enjoy this story also filled with action and cunning of horse and men.

This is a story about a horse and a man, but it is also a window into life on a Western ranch, and a love story. Kept me on the edge of the chair as I listened. Richard does an excellent job reading this wonderful book!

animal stories with happy ending, who doesn't love those. throw in a cowboy, a damsel in distress, and a nemesis, only a good read will result.

Outstanding book! Great flow of the story, good (old-fashioned) western with gun battles, "bad" guys hunting what they think is a violent horse, one damsel-in-distress, and plenty of very descriptive scenes of either Alcatraz (the horse) running, and /or the pack of horses as they move through the countryside, react to danger etc.. I got totally absorbed in this story.
Great story! Great reader. I would highly recommend this book.
